Start with the priest who is marrying you. He will instruct you on what form of marriage preparation he wants you to pursue that will best fit your circumstances.
An all day Marriage Preparation class is made up of group presentations and numerous workshop choices. Topics include: communication, spirituality, finances, adjustments, parenting, and natural family planning.
Other Options are: Engaged Encounter, Parish-Based Programs, One on One, PREPARE and FOCCUS.
The Diocesan Office will arrange for training for certification in administering PREPARE and FOCCUS
Family Life offices are located in the Western (Syracuse), Southern, and Eastern areas of the diocese. Information and schedules can be obtained by contacting your area Family Life Office.
